  The VAYRE collection focuses on a multi-layeredsustainability agenda.  Aside from using sustainablefibres and fabrics, our manufacturing partners arecarefully chosen so that from fibre to garment, ourproduction occurs within a 150 mi. range, minimizingour carbon footprint.  We continually seek out themost innovative and luxurious ethical & sustainablematerials for our garments and packaging with thestrategy to improve our standards season by season.Our garments are meant to outlast trends, in bothquality and style.  Aesthetically, we aim to complementthe strong, natural beauty of the New Feminine. Our cut-and-sew wovens are vertically manufacturedin Turkey, our cut-and-sew knits in Portugal, and oursweaters in Italy.

Muslins

  Our designs are a subtle, sophisticated blend of minimalism, tailoring, and ease. Maintaining this delicate harmony sometimes results in conceptually complicated designs. In these cases, our process includes draping some of our more unusual or complex ideas in house at our Manhattan studio. Coco Chanel said, “Fashion is architecture”, and when we create our muslins we do feel like we are “building” or otherwise sculpting in the round ala Madame Vionnet. Fabric is not simply a two dimensional surface covering. It has weight, body, sponginess, sheen, drape, starch, stretch, texture— as many properties as exist in any raw natural material— all of which is taken into account in the details of measurement, balance, performance. INSPIRATION SUMMER 23

A study of shape and form. Mimicking textures found in nature. Layered Lyocell, crisp organic cotton, and recycled super fine merino skim, shape and glide for the SUMMER 23 collection. Mushroom gills are abstracted and transformed into ultrifine knit dresses and tops of recycled wool with the hand of cashmere.  The folds of palm fronds become the chunky rib of a sweaterdress. Geometric rock formations become the hard lines of a workwear jacket. All of our designs are made to enhance the natural beauty of the wearer, while being versatile enough to take her through all the varied affairs of her dynamic lifestyle.  At every level, the collection is infused with aliveness.

Iris Sweater

Our Spring sweater was inspired by the fanning folds of palm fronds, which are simultaneously hardy and delicate. Crop length that just peeks the waistband, dropped shoulder, and mock neck a new take on a classic shape, in a range of colors that remind us of cool, breezy evenings by the sea. Knit from 37% organic cotton, 37% recycled cotton, and 26% recycled nylon.
